Lori A. Woodring, PhD
Lori Attanasio Woodring received her Bachelors Degree from Cornell University and her Masters Degree, Professional Diploma and Ph.D. from Fordham University. She is a licensed psychologist in New York and Connecticut where she currently has a private practice working with children and parents. For the past 20 years Dr. Woodring has worked with children and parents in school, hospital, and private settings. She also served as an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School at Fordham University. Her research with children and families has been presented at national and international conferences.
Dr. Woodring sees children, parents and families for individual, family and group therapy. She has been trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy for trauma and post-traumatic stress. She also offers school and in-home consultations.
Dr. Woodring was inspired to write her first book, “My Very Exciting, Sorta Scary, Big Move: A Workbook for Children Moving to a New Home”, after moving from CT, USA to London, UK and back with her four children under the age of 7.
